MAIN FUNCTIONS

Universal ultrasonic flaw detector UD4-94-OKO-01 is intended for:

  • Discontinuities and irregularities detections in materials, items, semi-products, welded (soldered) joints;
  • Flaw depth and coordinated measurement;

The flaw detector can be used for product inspection when acceptance and in service in various branches of industry. It also can be used as a part of mechanized and automated systems of non-destructive testing.

SPECIFICATIONS

  • The flaw detector includes central unit of OKO-01, ultrasonic units in the quantity from 1 to 4 pieces, piezoelectric probes, mains power supply unit, accumulator power supply unit and charger.
  • Rated frequencies value for ultrasonic flaw detector 2,5 and 5,0 MHz.
  • Probe pulse amplitude of flaw detector’s generator is at least 180V at duration of (60+_10) ns and at duration of rising edge is up to 20 ns.
  • Dynamic control of the pulser parameters depending on the probe frequency of the flaw detector is from 0 to 100 dB with discreteness from 1 to 10dB.
  • Defect’s testing range in steel should be within from 0 to 18 000 mm at speed of ultrasonic testing of 6 000 m/s. The range of testing zone is from 9 to 18 000 mm with discreteness of values 0,1; 1,0; 10,0 and 100,0 mm.
  • Flaw depth measurement range in steel is from 1 to 18 000 mm at speed of ultrasonic testing of 6 000 m/s.
  • The number of ultrasonic channels of ensonification is at least 8.
  • The range of ultrasonic speed is from 1 500 to 8 000 m/s with discreteness of values 1; 10; 100 and 1000 m/s.
  • TCG dynamic range is at least 35 dB with discreteness 1 dB.
  • Range of sweep delay relative to the start of excitation pulse is from 0 to 6 000 m/s with discreteness of values 0,1; 1,0; 10,0 and 100,0 microseconds.
  • The construction of flaw detector provides light and sound flaw detection alarm system.
  • Maximum number of the gates of flaw detection alarm system in one path – is up to three.
  • The range of incident angle of ultrasonic probes is within form 0 to 90°.
  • Electrical power supply of the flaw detector is provided by the following sources:
  • alternating-current mains with voltage 220V (+_10%) and with frequency 50(+_ 1)Hz.
  • Individual power supply – accumulator battery with nominal voltage 12 B and with nominal capacity 9 A
  • Electrical power of the flaw detector, consumed from the alternating-current mains, at most 30 V·A.
  • Adjustment time of flaw detector operating mode at least 10 min.
  • Time of continuous operating of the flaw detector with the help of fully charged accumulator battery at least 8 hours.
  • Flaw detector structure has to ensure the possibility of connection with the PC via RS-232 port.
  • Dimension sizes of the flaw detector without the arm with one connected ultrasonic block and with accumulator power unit are – at most 330x180x140 mm.
  • The weight of the flaw detector with one connected ultrasonic unit and with accumulator power unit is – at least 4, 2 kg.

INSTRUMENT SERVICE FUNCTION

  • Possibility to record the actual spatial position of the probe in the scanner for proper results processing when operating the scanning instruments;
  • Possibility to measure the delay in prism of the probe;
  • Possibility to measure the ultrasonic testing speed in the tested object;
  • Imaging of changed coordinates of detected defects on B-scans and orthogonal types of B-scan.
  • “freeze” mode of A-scan imaging;
  • Mode of maximal signal accumulation in A-Scan;
  • Possibility to install a memory device of compact-flash type with capacity 4 Gb.
  • Connection mode with PC to input the information from the flaw detector memory, for testing results processing with a possibility to print them, program setting input from the PC to the flaw detector memory.
